Long time, no post..

Soooooo it turns out that I’m really bad at keeping up with this project. I have honestly just been so extremely busy I haven’t had the time to post anything! I have all of my pictures though.

Basically the last time I posted (which I just realized didn’t even post all of the ones I meant to) was literally 3 minutes before I left to go to the airport to go to Sicily. With the exchange year with AFS/Intercultura you get to do an exchange week which means I got to choose some other part of Italy and go and stay there for a week with another family. It was definitely one of my favorite experiences that I’ve had so far here :)) The entire week was fantastic, but I’ll elaborate when I post the pictures.

That was the week of March 17-24. I then returned to Vigevano (home) for 4 days, and then on the 29th I left for my school trip! We went to Pisa, Naples, Pompei, Paestum, Capri, and Caserta. Another unforgettable trip that I will write more about later (:

When I got back from that I had one normal-ish week and then an AFS friend who’s doing the year in the south of Italy came to visit. That means I had another week completely full going back and forth to Milan and such.

The he left on the 16th and then Stella (my other host sister who is currently doing an exchange year in Ireland) arrived on the 17th! This week has been completely packed as well!

It’s now April 21st and I have to leave now-ish to take the train to go meet MOM AND SCOTT at the central station in Milan!!!!! I’m so excited! It’s gonna be so strange to see them after all this time, but I know it will be amazing! Tomorrow we are going to Milan, Saturday we leave for Rome, and Tuesday we go from Rome to Paris!

Ok I have to go or I’m gonna miss the train!

I’ll DEFINITELY post the first week of May!!!

love(:

Day 72

Today I went to see The Black Swan with Martina. Something cool about Italian movie theatres? They have a candy store. Inside. Which means we bought 10 euros worth of candy and ate it ALL.

Then I changed a lightbulb and decided to take a picture of it..

Day 67
It’s officially been six months since I’ve left America.
I was blonde. I didn’t know a word of Italian. I hadn’t seen Europe. I hadn’t experienced the world.
I hadn’t fallen in love with Italy.
:)
(Sorry for the awkward webcam photo.. I went to the theatre to see a show with Simona Atzori who was born with no arms, but became a dancer anyways. You should look her up. But anyways this was the best I could do in 10 minutes)

Day 66
Carnival oh how I love you so.
Martina and I dressed up as Wilma Flinstone and Betty Rubble for our school carnival party, and we did a pretty awesome job if I do say so myself..

Day 65

We went to the beach where Gioia found some rocks that look like bacon and I took lots of pictures.

I definitely didn’t want to leave Tuscany. We were there for less than 24 hours which is way to short in my opinion.
